Gameplay and Mechanics

You probably thought your Tojo Clan days were over. You’ve built a great life with a young girl – Haruka Sawamura. It seemed like everything was going to be good. Well, think again. With a new threat on the horizon, you will have to go back to combat the rising danger in Japan, which is another dragon.

A single gunshot changed your life. Yukio Terada, the Fifth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, has been assassinated. You must leave your peaceful life to fight the Omi alliance. Will you be able to take on that task? Will you win? Or rest your head on the pillow and slip through your story while you’re friends are getting killed? It’s up to you!

Completely Rebuilt Game

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a completely different game from the initial release version. Dragon engine updated the whole experience and made it into one of the classics of the decade.

4K resolution, unlocked framerates, customizable controls, and just a new open world for you to experience. Amazing graphics, a very cool story about fighting for peace, and excellent fighting mechanics – it’s something you just have to check out for yourself.

Great Storyline

As we stated before – this game has one of the best storylines in the recent history of gaming. It reads like a novel. Rags to riches story, protecting your loved ones, while also being a gangster. Having a moral code that is getting stretched with every decision you make – it’s really something else. If it were an anime – you would definitely have some crazy superpowers.

In this edition of the game, you also get a new playable character – Goro Majima in “Majima Saga” version of the game.

Open-World Exploration

Many games put us through some hardships, some more than others. In this game – it’s all about pleasure. Roam through the beautiful Tokyo streets with many colorful areas and fascinating landscapes. It is there where you can find some minigames, get ramen and just go about your day as a mafia boss.

As you may probably presume, some people will be trying to stop your fun, but you’ve got your knuckles and shins to fight them off! Remember – the world is yours to conquer; why would anyone stand in your way?

New And Improved Combat System

Speaking of people standing in your way – you’ve got a new combat system to master. It is still the same one that you may have enjoyed in Yakuza 6, but with some additions that make this game more dynamic.

The main difference between those two is the dynamic of the attacks, and the speed of loading them has improved. Besides, there is a lot more melee fighting than in previous games. It seems that Yakuza 0 fighting style was also adopted in this one. 

You can really enjoy it, especially fighting in the streets. The whole world can be your weapons, so grab a vase or a noodle and smash it over the head of your enemies. Make them pay for what they, perhaps, have done.

Additional Content

A Japanese game would not be a Japanese game if it didn’t have some crazy additional content that people would freak out over. In this case – it’s no different. While playing as the unforgiving boss of Yakuza – you can also enjoy some mini-games!

There are updated versions of the Cabaret Clubs simulator and Clan Creator Bundle but also some new and gold additions such as golf bingo and Toylets. The latter one is a series of mini games where you, for example, has to spit water stronger than your opponent. Love it or hate it – it’s a Japanese culture that rules the world!
