The first Hitman game, Hitman: Codename 47, is just a classic. It inaugurated the 3D infiltration games, and we could say, also the trained assassins’ games.
Despite what its name suggests, Hitman 2 is not the second game of the Hitman series; it’s just the sequel of a reboot of the franchise released in 2016. The first game is the starting point of the series and works as a prologue of the assassin's story.
Thanks to Hitman 2, we delve deeper into the mind of agent 47. We’ll know new stories, new missions, new ways of killing Very Important People, dealers, politicians, and lord of wars.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Whether it’s your first time or you’re a veteran of the series, it’s a game for all fans of sneaking around. Let's explore this great adventure, agent, and take a look at a big part of this ultimate spy thriller story.

As we mentioned briefly in the introduction of this article, Hitman 2 is the direct sequel of Hitman launched in 2016 and the second game of the World of Assassination trilogy. Hitman 2 continues with the events of its predecessor.
This title is an action and infiltration game and the franchise's seventh installment. You will have six wide-open scenarios and dozens of environments to explore. Over time, two expansions were added, including two new maps: New York and Haven Island, with four special missions.
Upon its release, Hitman 2 generally got good reviews. It was unanimously hailed as better than its predecessor. The developers notably improved general gameplay enhancements, maps, sandbox design, and assassination opportunities.
Hitman 2 follows the events of Hitman.
Agent 47 embarks on a journey to find the elusive “Shadow Client” for Providence, a secret global organization. The ICA (International Contract Agency), Agent 47’s employer, has allied with Providence. Both want to stop this elusive enemy, which has caused a lot of terrorist attacks.
Agent 47 starts his mission by killing several members of the secret organization. The Agent formally identifies the “Shadow Client” as Lucas Grey, former head of security of Providence.
In different points of the globe, Agent 47 assassinates numerous leaders of drug trade, who were helping Grey and his militia.
As an overarching goal, Agent 47 travels all around the globe trying to dismantle the militia of the “Shadow Client.” Now it’s your mission to carry this out. That said, you’ll have to cross exotic sandbox environments, from sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests.
Like all franchise games, you need to use stealth methods to accomplish your goals in Hitman 2, using a variety of weapons, firearms, and gadgets to kill the targets.
To avoid detection, you must hide the bodies of dead targets. Furthermore, you can freely explore locations and listen to conversations to discover multiple paths that can help you identify locations, uncover unconventional infiltrations, or creative ways to kill.
To access restricted areas of the map, you need to obtain a disguise, either by killing NPCs or finding it somewhere on the map.
You must blend with the environment to infiltrate the maps. At the same time, a picture mode informs players of events happening in other parts of the level.
Nothing stops the player from gunning everything down, but is it the way of a true hitman?
These modes, at least until now, have been disabled from the game. As we hope they’ll return soon, it’s worth mentioning the basics.
Sniper Assassin Mode is also colloquially known as “BOOM HEADSHOT” mode.
You must eliminate targets from afar using a sniper rifle. You can play solo or with other players, who will assume control of either Stone or Knight - characters equipped with concussive shockwave rounds and wall-piercing ammunition, respectively.
Ghost Mode is a multiplayer mode in which two players must race against each other to eliminate some targets, starting in the same conditions. The two players cannot directly interact with each other. They also share a target and ghost crates that contain disguises and weapons the players can use.
