Story and Background

The story of multiplayer mode takes place in the future, in the year 2043. During a covert mission, the US army specialist Jessica Mason-Green is presumably killed. Two years later, Jessica’s sister, Savannah Mason-Meyer, hires ten of the world's best soldiers for a secret mission. Two of these soldiers, "Ruin" and "Battery," discover that Savannah wants to kill all the specialists she hired. Ruin and Erin unravel that Jessica is alive. Upon this, they discover that Savannah is running Project Blackout. This experiment is about the resurrection of the dead through unknown means.

Gameplay and Mechanics

COD Black Ops 4 does not have a traditional single-player campaign. Instead, there are three types of gameplays in multiplayer mode. 

Multiplayer Mode

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 features specialists. At the beginning of the game, there are ten specialists. The game allows you to have two specialists for a team.

The abilities, weaponry, and equipment of specialists mean a more fluid multiplayer combat. It improves the experience of the Black Ops combat in comparison to other chapters of the saga.

In this chapter, the mechanics do not include automatic health regeneration. Instead, you have to heal yourself and check if your health bar is full.

Besides, this game puts special attention on weapons personalization. The system allows you to attach given tiers with two upgrades. This provides good improvements to weapons.

Battle Royale Mode - Blackout

The multiplayer experience includes a Battle Royale called Blackout mode. You can play with friends and be part of the battle with another 99 players.
