Bloons TD 6 is a 3D tower defense game, which got ported from mobile to Windows. It’s the sixth installment in the Bloons TD series, developed and published by Ninja Kiwi.
The game is built on a Unity engine offering cartoonish visuals, so it’s not demanding at all. It can be played on all supported devices without hiccups, even with intense visual effects.
The game was praised for its appeal to a broader audience due to its combination of playability and complexity. It means the game is suitable for people of all ages! The newest installment introduces 3D objects and new monkey animations, with even more levels to complete.
Bloons TD 6 offers more than 50 levels to complete. Each level is filled with balloons, or rather, “bloons.” Your job is to place monkeys armed with different weapons and pop all bloons to escape the level. Those bloons come in different colors with their strengths and weaknesses.
You have to craft your defense from a combination of awesome monkey towers, upgrades, heroes, and more. This massive 3D tower defense is packed with new features and gameplay strategies to ensure you’ll pop up every last bloon.
Like in previous installments, each game is divided into rounds. After completing each round, bloons are back with increased density, making the game harder. With new bloon types like Purple, Fortified and relentless B.A.D., get ready for a massive tower defense experience! Game developers also implemented three difficulty settings, making it accessible to everyone.
Your monkeys will happily help you during the invasion of bloons. They have unique powers and branching skill trees, making full use of bloon shredding activated abilities. They range from simple Dart Monkeys to the all-powerful Super Monkey, each with its strengths and weaknesses.
Heroes work just like towers, and they’re getting stronger as the game progresses. You have to manage your gameplay around each Hero’s powers for a perfect synergy with your monkeys. There are 11 heroes to choose from, each with their voice lines and abilities so that everyone can have his favorite!
There are 17 different game modes, which are accessible upon completing a previous one. For example, to play Restricted Monkeys mode, you have to start with a Standard Mode on a given map. The Standard Mode is unlocked by default on all maps.
The game is receiving continuous support, four years after release. Special events, new bosses, season reskins, and recently added co-op mode ensures a diverse experience. There are tons of trophies and achievements to unlock, in addition to small daily rewards for returning.
There’s also a Challenge Editor where you can set starting cash, rounds, difficulty, etc. Players can then share those challenges to test out their abilities. Some of them are even featured by developers and can be seen by everyone!
To sum it up, Bloons TD 6 is an excellent tower defense experience combining monkey towers, upgrades, heroes, and activated skills. It’s a fantastic game designed to give you hours of exciting gameplay!
