PC Exclusive Games – Treats for the PC Gamers
The world of PC gaming is getting more and more inclusive, as most of the games on this platform are available at all the others. We all hear about Xbox exclusive all the time, the new Playstation exclusive that will, once again, make people buy this console, but what about PC-exclusive titles? What about the core platform that everything comes from? Well, worry not; we are introducing the best PC games we can locate for your exclusive PC entertainment.
Of course, it’s only in good fun, as your gaming PC does not have to be anything better or worse than your efforts on consoles. Nevertheless, we have decided to look closer at the exclusives on a platform that was a bit aside in this whole console war. Of course, we all remember the PC master race memes, and yes, we have laughed and shared them quite a lot, but in the end – it doesn’t matter what platform you have; it’s all about having fun. Expect Switch; Switch is for losers. Just kidding. Or are we? We’ll never know. Let’s forget about it and find your next favorite video game on PC!
Kenshi
Release Date: December 2018
Developer: Lo-Fi Games
Platforms: Microsoft Windows
Meta Score: 75/100
Starting with, surprisingly – Kenshi ! Kenshi is the kind of game that everyone heard something about but never really got to find out what exactly it is. We wanted to put the System Shock remake here, but unfortunately (for this list's sake), it also came out on consoles.
Nevertheless, let’s not forget about the quality that this title brings to the table. It’s one of the most exciting titles you will ever play, as there are only a few games with such groundbreaking concepts as this one. For starters, it’s a survival game that you don’t even have to beat! Surprisingly, you can just go on and survive a bit more. No pressure. Well, there is some pressure, as you will die if you’re not careful enough (sort of like in real life, duh), so make sure to stay hydrated and, well, armed. It gives the player freedom that you can only dream of in the modern titles.
Every day, you need to look for resources, find shelter to keep you through the night, and overall – do everything you can not to get killed, eaten, or thirsty. And it’s not you – wait a bit to heal yourself kind of game. It’s more of a – if you have a broken leg, you will have problems with movement, and people in your team will then have to decide whether or not to leave you stranded or keep on moving. You have problems with your arms – well, no fighting for you.
You can have whatever life you want in this game, from something as simple as being a farmer to even – a cannibal! Or a slave. Or a person with some pretty challenging mental disorder.
Additionally, it’s a game that can be both a turn-based strategy game, but unlike other RTS games, also provides you with some sick RPG elements. Those are just new skills you acquire, though, not +10 to everything, and people who are 8 feet tall can’t attack you because of your power level. No, here, you can die from a rock and a sword. Nothing is certain, and the player's freedom is on a completely different level than everything you have ever seen. And what a scale it has! With 870 square kilometers, we have to say that it’s one of the biggest games ever. In our opinion, this PC version deserves your recognition.
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Release Date: October 2012
Developer: SCS Software
Platforms: Microsoft Windows
Meta Score: 79/100
The second game on our list of PC exclusives with no console versions is the famous Euro Truck Simulator 2 . In this game, you can casually enjoy a beer while navigating an 18-wheeler truck – it's that laid-back. It serves as a unique space where you can unwind, ponder on life, listen to music, and even chat with friends. Brace yourself for an extended journey, especially if you ditch the conventional mouse and keyboard setup for a more immersive experience with a steering wheel, pedals, and a driving stick.
In essence, it’s a vehicle simulation. At heart, it’s a place for Zen, meditation, and not having to worry about anything. It’s a somewhat realistic experience when it comes to driving, so if you enjoy something more traditional regarding the driver’s experience, this game is definitely for you.
Moreover, this game has dozens of roads spread around Europe with a giant network to choose from. You can go for long highway rides or travel through city roads to better understand the culture you are driving through. And have a bit of a challenge as well.
Given the game's commitment to mirroring the real driver's experience, you'll contend with a few factors that demand careful consideration during gameplay. Things such as fuel levels and fatigue become critical factors that demand your attention. It's worth noting that the patience of a frustrated driver diminishes rapidly with every passing minute without a cup of coffee. Therefore, ensure you take proper breaks, get some rest, and have a well-filled cup holder for a smoother virtual journey.
Additionally, as the game is about mirroring the real world, you have many customization options. There are some obvious things like a truck or a cabin type, but also – accessories in the cabin itself or a paint job. And you have a great variety of cargo to choose from. Some are frosted, some are more stable, and some are hazardous. Everything comes with a price, so check the label to see how to store this cargo.
You don’t have to only play as a truck driver. With some experience and money, you can create your very own cargo company that is on par or even better than the one you were hired for. This game stands out as one of the best choices for experiencing the ins and outs of running your own trucking company. Additionally, as it combines the single-player experience with the multiplayer mode, it’s only fair to consider this one of the greatest in the genre (entirely dominated by the Truck Simulator series).
But, what makes people spend dozens of hours in this game is the DLC work the developers are putting into this title. The number of new trucks, roads, and customizations is incredible, and every few months since the release, we have seen something new added to the title. So, play today and have fun trucking!
Devour
Release date: January 2021
Developer: SitBack Games
Platforms: Microsoft Windows
Meta Score: N/A
Next on our list is a game called Devour . A title that you may not heard of at the first mention, but let us tell you – it’s worth the trouble for sure. This is the peak of PC gaming, which makes the Xbox Series Something and PlayStation Whichever green of jealous. It’s scary; it has depth to it, and it has everything that PC gamers enjoy. And there is no console version as a bonus.
So, what is the meaning behind this title, and why should we care? Well, if you like multiplayer games where you have to work together to get rid of some dark entity with satisfying equipment and lots of ways to deliver the “product” – this game is something for you!
Our familiar demon fighters are on a quest to take on a demonic being called Anna. She has many secrets you must discover to get rid of this curious enemy. The development of the plot depends on your preparation, and this game is created for those who like to think fast in the face of something straight out of hell. You must explore the haunted mansions, combat the demons, and solve puzzles to win the game. But remember, if the stories are true, the closer you get to getting rid of this excited demon, the more aggressive it will get, up to the point where you finally may be interested in ending it with one hit “anime style.”
But – it will likely not happen, so you need to figure out how to coordinate your tactics with your fellow demon hunters to get rid of this vile creature. Whether you go for an offline or online mode – you will quickly see how fun it is to be breaking some demon bones. The key in this title is the atmosphere, so sink in and let your imagination run wild!
World of Warcraft
Release date: 2004
Developer: Blizzard Entertainment
Platforms: Microsoft Windows
Meta Score: 93
And finally, we just couldn’t create a series of PC games without the one and only – World of Warcraft. The best summarization of this title is this – it was released in 2004. People continue to play it even now. Don't get us wrong; unlike other games on our list, it has evolved significantly since its release – with updated graphics and more. However, at its core, it remains the same beloved game that captured the hearts of players from the beginning.
To start from the beginning – it’s one of the first and best MMORPGs that came out to this day. It takes place in the fascinating world of, well, Warcraft, full of Orcs, Elves, Humans and Demons. The great conflict between the Horde and the Alliance is still occurring after so many years, and it’s your decision on which side you will be on.
Almost a whole generation has passed since the release of this game, so the mechanics are stale in some ways and still significant in others. It’s one of the MMOs, so you know that they had to polish things up with every expansion to make it even better.
You have thirteen classes to choose from; it doesn’t matter which side of the conflict you are on. Of course, if you have all the expansions, that is. You have your spellcasters, rouges, paladins, and berserkers. Of course, you can look for the best builds ever on the internet, but it is advised to create your very own combination and do everything you feel would benefit your character.
Even more, you don’t have to go for the whole nine yards, playing the latest edition of what the developers have prepared for us. You can always opt for the World of Warcraft Classic, where you can go back to how the game was played before all of these expansions. It has something for everyone, so make sure you’ll get the best out of it.
League of Legends
Release date: October 2009
Developer: Riot Games
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, macOS
Meta Score: 78
This one is a problematic game, as it’s either one of the best games ever created or a nightmare that no one should ever even think of trying. Is it a great game? Probably not. But does it evoke intense emotions worth playing? Definitely.
When describing this game, you can think that it’s something pretty straightforward. It’s a MOBA game, which means Multiplayer Online Battle Area. You take control of one of the champions and head to the Summoner’s Rift in a team of five to kill the AI characters and the opposing team to finally destroy their Nexus. Every time you get back to your headquarters, you can buy some boosts to make your character even stronger. Each champion has a few different skills and an ultimate ability that is usually a lot stronger than regular attacks or has some extraordinary features.
But what makes this title so divisive is how competitive it is. On higher levels, you can’t make a single mistake, or else you will die instantly. There is no handicap (or anti-handicap, according to some), and everything is right on the edge of fun and being a horror experience.
League of Legends has been notoriously called one of the most vile titles ever created. Nevertheless, it did not stop millions of players worldwide from having a little bit of fun in it from time to time. In the end, the game is free to play, and there are plenty of tiers to go through before getting to the higher levels, so you can have some understanding of what the game is all about. And, considering how popular it is in casual gaming or professional scene – there has to be something interesting about this game, right?
PC Exclusive Games – Conclusion
And here we are, at the end of our road! We hope you find something on this list that’s PC-exclusive and exclusively fun for you! Unfortunately, titles from such series as Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, or Diablo IV, which seem like PC-exclusive titles, just could not fit our list because of the many available platforms. PC exclusives are not that popular, and everything is heading towards universality regarding the availability of games, so if you want some exciting titles to choose from only for PC, your choice is limited. But maybe Half-Life 3 will come out one day with no controller support, early access, and tactical fedora for Counter-Strike 16. Who knows?
Thanks for stopping by! If you liked this game, check out our other articles. We are positive that you will enjoy at least some of them. That’s it for today, we will see you in the next one!
