What Is Hitman 2?

Agent 47 embarks on a journey to find the elusive “Shadow Client” for Providence, a secret global organization. The ICA (International Contract Agency), Agent 47’s employer, has allied with Providence. Both want to stop this elusive enemy, which has caused a lot of terrorist attacks.

Agent 47 starts his mission by killing several members of the secret organization. The Agent formally identifies the “Shadow Client” as Lucas Grey, former head of security of Providence.

As an overarching goal, Agent 47 travels all around the globe trying to dismantle the militia of the “Shadow Client.” Now it’s your mission to carry this out. That said, you’ll have to cross exotic sandbox environments, from sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests.

Gameplay and Mechanics

Like all franchise games, you need to use stealth methods to accomplish your goals in Hitman 2, using a variety of weapons, firearms, and gadgets to kill the targets.

Strike and Fade

To avoid detection, you must hide the bodies of dead targets. Furthermore, you can freely explore locations and listen to conversations to discover multiple paths that can help you identify locations, uncover unconventional infiltrations, or creative ways to kill. 

To access restricted areas of the map, you need to obtain a disguise, either by killing NPCs or finding it somewhere on the map. 

You must blend with the environment to infiltrate the maps. At the same time, a picture mode informs players of events happening in other parts of the level.

Sniper Assassin Mode and Ghost Mode

These modes, at least until now, have been disabled from the game. As we hope they’ll return soon, it’s worth mentioning the basics.

Sniper Assassin Mode is also colloquially known as “BOOM HEADSHOT” mode.

You must eliminate targets from afar using a sniper rifle. You can play solo or with other players, who will assume control of either Stone or Knight - characters equipped with concussive shockwave rounds and wall-piercing ammunition, respectively.

Ghost Mode is a multiplayer mode in which two players must race against each other to eliminate some targets, starting in the same conditions. The two players cannot directly interact with each other. They also share a target and ghost crates that contain disguises and weapons the players can use.
