Most Replayable Games That Will Leave You Longing For More!
We, players, are a weird species. We can spend thousands of hours playing only one game, even if we’ve discovered everything it has to offer. It makes sense in esports titles, where every match plays differently, and you must truly dedicate yourself when competing with the best. However, there are plenty of single-player games with excellent replay value – they are specifically made for multiple playthroughs, where you can lead the story in different directions or test out different character builds.
We’ve picked the best games worth replaying right after the end credits. This list mainly focuses on open-world RPGs with branching storylines that demand to be seen more than once. We’ve included a few exceptions, however. What’s more, you can buy all these games on RoyalCDKeys for a fraction of their retail price!
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
- Release Date: November 10, 2011
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch
- Metascore: 94
Being over 10 years old, Skyrim is currently a classic game with enormous replayability potential. The snowy land of Skyrim is filled with towns, quests, dungeons, and fractions to join. It’s a game where you create your own path and can become whoever you like. A stealthy archer with a love of alchemy and deadly poison arrows? A vampire battle-mage that mastered all forms of elemental magic? Or a heavy-armored orc with a two-handed warhammer? You can even set your own challenges and complete the game by using bare fists if you want!
The main storyline is also filled with many choices and sides to pick from, but you can spend dozens of hours doing side quests for certain factions. College of Winterhold, Dark Brotherhood, or Thieves Guild – just to name a few. And when you think you’ve seen the entire game, the modding scene will bring you even more to discover. And we're not talking about texture replacements or simple overhaul mods. Some are like official story expansions with new quests and lands to discover. No single game even came close to what Skyrim has achieved throughout the years.

Fallout: New Vegas
- Developer: Obsidian Entertainment
- Release Date: October 19, 2010
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
- Metascore: 84
Fallout: New Vegas is considered the best installment of the series since Bethesda took over the franchise. It is a tribute to fans of older Fallout games as it perfectly captures their atmosphere. The story begins fairly simple: after being shot in the head and barely surviving, your goal is to find the person who tried to kill you.
Your journey will be full of moral choices and branching paths that will lead to different outcomes. You’ll have to complete the game several times to discover them all. And your journey is far from boring, regardless if you start a new game for the first time or have completed it already.
This post-apocalyptic open world is free to explore, and many secrets of the Mojave desert are waiting to be discovered. Apart from many quests you might have missed during the first playthrough, there are multiple endings based on previous choices. You’ll meet three different factions along the way, which you can join, destroy, or even set out to claim control for yourself.
Different decisions also determine the fate of your companions; some will leave or even die because of you. You can literally spend thousands of hours discovering every outcome of your actions. New Vegas also has a dedicated modding community to enhance your experience further.

Dark Souls 3
- Developer: From Software
- Release Date: April 11, 2016
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
- Metascore: 89
Dark Souls 3 is one of the best games of all time regarding replayability potential. It’s also one of the hardest action RPGs to date and probably the most unforgiving game on this list. Its completely open structure is intimidating and unpredictable because even at the beginning of the game, you will meet monsters that can take you down in one hit.
The developers have prepared twelve character classes, but they don't matter much because you’ll develop your character as you please during the game. The gameplay revolves around exploring different locations and fighting countless enemies. Each opponent is a challenge, and you also have to face one of over a dozen bosses from time to time.
The various character builds you can test out make Dark Souls extremely replayable. Also, nothing stops you from heading to the most dangerous areas from the start of the game. Will you go straight for that key that opens the chest with one of the most powerful weapons in the game? You are limited only by your creativity. You can shape your experience however you like, adapting your playstyle and settings for almost infinite replayability.
Dark Souls 3 Steam Key is available for purchase on RoyalCDKeys.
- The hardest game on our list.
- No boundaries; you can go whenever you want right from the start.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- Developer: CD Projekt RED Studio
- Release Date: May 18, 2015
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch
- Metascore: 93
Witcher 3 excels in storytelling and the number of sidequests that can be done completely differently. Just after leaving the White Orchard, the vast open world full of hidden details is ready to uncover, and one playthrough is not enough to discover all secrets. Some quests will become available only after certain decisions, so there’s always an opportunity to visit Northern Kingdoms again.
The main storyline is also full of choices with long-term consequences, such as how you interact with Ciri will affect her destiny. Not only that, but the fate of several key characters like Baron, Djikstra, or Vernon Roche is determined by your actions.
Add to that two hefty story expansions that are even better than the main storyline, and you’re getting three complete games packed in one title. There’s so much to do in The Witcher 3; with its entertaining gameplay, compelling story, and memorable characters, it’s a joy to keep replaying.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- Developer: 343 Industries
- Release Date: November 11, 2014
- Platforms: PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
- Metascore: 85
The Halo franchise is over two decades old and raised a generation of gamers. While Halo: Infinite is getting most of the attention now, it’s worth mentioning older titles that raised a solid foundation for this legendary series. It features one of the best FPS campaigns ever made, and The Master Chief Collection is a perfect opportunity for younger gamers to get familiar with the series.
The action of the games included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection takes place in the distant future. The main hero of the series is Master Chief – an elite earth soldier equipped with powerful armor, aided by an AI called Cortana. The first three games in the series tell the story of a war fought by humans and a federation of alien races known as the Covenant. Halo 4, on the other hand, begins a whole new trilogy in which the protagonist must face his destiny and confront an ancient race of Forerunners, who threaten the entire universe.
Originally released back in 2014, The Master Chief Collection was in a rough state, but it has been improved through continual updates. It’s the ultimate way to replay the six games included in the package.

Resident Evil 2
- Developer: Capcom R&D Division 1
- Release Date: January 25, 2019
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
- Metascore: 89
Resident Evil is on everyone’s lips once again. Before the release of the highly acclaimed Resident Evil: Village, Capcom decided to remake Resident Evil 2 from 1998. If you’re old enough to remember the horrifying adventures of Leon and Claire, then you have to take this one for a spin.
Resident Evil 2 Remake resembles the original from 1998 in terms of gameplay, but the title expands on the classic solutions and introduces many new elements. The most notable change is the player’s perspective. Instead of showing the action from a different, rigidly fixed perspective, this time, we see the events from behind the protagonists' backs.
You can choose from two playable characters - Claire and Leon. It affects the course of the story and available equipment, so to fully experience the attractions the game offers, you need to finish it twice. Although the city and locations stay the same, the stories they experience and the characters they meet along the way differ.
Additionally, zombies are much harder on your second playthrough and deal more damage, while puzzles are even more difficult. Even the third installment got its remake, which is equally entertaining. At the time of writing, we only have Resident Evil 3 for purchase, but Jill Valentine’s journey is worth checking out as it has almost all the features described above.
Resident Evil 3 - Remake EU Xbox Live Key is available on RoyalCDKeys.
- A complete remake of the original Resident Evil 2 from 1998.
- New locations, puzzles, and mechanics.
- Third-person view.

The Sims 4
- Developer: Maxis
- Release Date: September 2, 2014
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
- Metascore: 70
The Sims series took the gaming industry by storm in the early 2000s. A unique formula where you can create your own character and play “the game of life” was a truly revolutionary experience back then. The iconic life simulator won countless awards and is also the best-selling PC game series of all time.
The latest entry is simply an evolution of the existing gameplay model. During the game, you’ll take care of the virtual Sims family with all their spiritual and material needs and provide a roof over their head.
The character of your Sim is also of great importance. You can choose from dozens of available personality traits and the character's long-term goals. They influence your Sim behavior and are an element of an improved artificial intelligence system. Thanks to it, the sims behave more naturally and react in a much more varied way to the situations around them.
The emotions felt by the virtual heroes are also a novelty in The Sims 4. Current needs and social interactions influence their behavior, as well as their home equipment or clothes worn. Experiencing specific emotions will unlock new dialogue options. There’s also a special mode where you can share your created Sims and their houses with other players.
This one has almost infinite replayability potential compared to other games on this list. With the number of expansions and its ever-growing community of players, you can literally spend your entire life playing The Sims.

Minecraft is known by almost anyone and is the ultimate definition of replayability by following one simple foundation: do whatever you want. In a randomly generated world full of blocks, you can reshape the terrain however you see fit. The game is essentially one big sandbox that doesn't limit the player's freedom in any way. The world is built entirely of three-dimensional blocks, each with its own characteristics and different purpose.
In some modes, in addition to building, you’ll also have to fight monsters with the help of self-made equipment. In Creative Mode, however, you can fully dedicate yourself to building the settlement of your dreams or even recreate real-life cities. Add to that countless mods to further enhance the experience, and you can be sure this game will never die.

Grand Theft Auto V

- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3/4/5, Xbox 360/One, Xbox Series X/S
- Metascore: 96
The presence of the Grand Theft Auto series on this list is no surprise since it’s an obvious choice regarding replayability. GTA has always set new standards for open-world games since GTA 3, and the latest installment doesn’t fall short in this regard. The main quest is written exceptionally well, and the number of side missions and optional activities is astonishing.
Most of us spent countless hours simply riding through the city, escaping from a 5-star police chase, or doing side missions for extra money.
Then, we could invest in one of the available properties or make ourselves a gift in the form of an expensive sports car. In addition, the gameplay is varied by several mini-games, such as tennis, golf, and bowling. And this essentially brought us all back: the immense freedom of doing anything we want at any given time.
On the other hand, the multiplayer mode, GTA Online, doesn’t have any campaign, but it allows for expressive, sandbox-like gameplay. Here, you can become a mafia boss and participate in races, assaults, and plenty of events made by developers or other players. The replayability potential is undisputable in GTA 5, and with its online mode, it increases exponentially.
Grand Theft Auto V Rockstar Key is available for purchase on RoyalCDKeys.

- Tons of side activities are available even after completing the main story.

Mass Effect - Legendary Edition
- Developer: BioWare
- Release Date: May 14, 2021
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
- Metascore: 86
One word can describe the Mass Effect series – legendary. The prominent symbol of BioWare studio delivered probably the best space opera video game series ever created. The tale of Commander Shepard and his squad gathered millions of fans, and it’s still a remarkable trilogy after all these years. The newest Mass Effect: Andromeda tarnished the series a bit, but the original games are still worth trying out.
The Legendary Edition contains a remastered version of the first three games of the series. The first Mass Effect has received the most notable changes. Character and environment models, textures, shaders, and lighting effects have been refreshed and enhanced. Numerous elements of gameplay have also been improved and unified throughout the trilogy.
The entire trilogy was made with replayability in mind as an action RPG. You can finish your first playthrough as a biotic specialist who will throw enemies with the power of your mind. On your second run, your new character can become a deadly sniper who can sabotage enemy electronics. Side quests and optional dialogues also play a huge role, as they impact the relationship between you and your crew. The choices you make throughout the games will shape the world around you. Sociopath, altruist, or morally grey character – each of them will end up with a completely different ending that will encourage you for more than one playthrough.
