We all know this story. We come home from school, ready for our single-player, 12-hour session, only to see that our little brother has decided it’s his time to start playing games. Well, you did not have the choice. You just had to plug in the controller that did not work and pretend that he controlled the game.

But some time has passed, and this trick will not work again, so you have to find games to play with him. It could be something completely basic at the beginning, but after some time, you start enjoying yourself, and it seems that playing with your sibling may not be such a terrible thing after all.

It's probably the craziest game on our list, but what else could we get from the head of our graphics department – Mark? In his words – you have this crazy ride that seems to go on forever, one of the most cinematic sequences in the history of the series, and dozens of planets to roam through. What else could you get? Apart from the good Adobe UI? What else could you wish for?

If you are a fan of this looter-shooter bonanza – you have probably already heard about it. If not – what a better introduction to the series! Borderlands 3 is a game where two players can go on a fantastic adventure, collect incredible weapons, and have some of the most hilarious situations ever to appear on the computer screen.

And, thanks to the co-op option done correctly, you can enjoy it with your friends and family members alike in a split-screen or online version. And trust us, once you put it on, you will not rest until you finish it.

It’s a first-person shooter with four distinct classes to choose from. You have your magician (with guns), pet owner (also with guns), mech (with lots of guns), and the hunter. That also has guns. All you need to do is blast some music and take care of the hordes of enemies with your brothers or sisters. The one thing remains for sure – this will not be a walk in the park, so make sure your backup knows what’s up! The Vaults in Pandora await!

The first game on our list is Minecraft – Dave’s choice. Dave used to play Minecraft with his cousin, not a sibling, but we have decided to add it to this list, as it’s basically the same thing in the end. Together, they crafted entire worlds filled with magic, dragons, and all sorts of fantastical elements. It wasn't just about building; it was about weaving their own narrative and embarking on epic quests within their imaginative realm. Sounds like they had an absolute blast, so Minecraft deserves a spot on our list!

And, like many other children all over the world, they have found something unique and wonderful about this game about blocks. The concept behind this game is not a meaningful story but rather a fun time, making it one of the most interesting games for siblings. You can create your very own adventure, go for the Survival Mode or something more delicate, like Creative Mode, and just have fun together. There, you can craft whatever you’d like without having to look behind your back at all times.

When it comes to comradery, there is nothing as good as a couple of dwarfs on their way to success! That is exactly why Jack from our IT department chose Deep Rock Galactic as the game he loves to play with his older brother.

As he points out – when it comes to playing with my bro, you just can’t find anything more interesting than Deep Rock Galactic. You have everything in there. You can play basketball as a dwarf with other dwarves; you can have fun on a ship, drinking beer. We usually log in and start with a chat as dwarves for 20 minutes. And our co-dwarfs are like – yeah, that’s cool, but let’s DIG A HOLE IN THAT PLANET. And so – we dug a hole.

Deep Rock Galactic is a pretty basic game that has a lot of additional elements if you dig into the ground enough. For starters, it may seem like a very friendly resource-gathering game, but on a deeper level, when you are not playing as one player but in a team of many, you will quickly notice that there is a lot of dependency between all of you.

In this game, you've got four classes to pick from, each with its own special role to play. Sometimes, you're on the lookout, keeping an eye on things. Other times, you're all about tending to the drill, making sure it stays running smoothly. And then there are those moments when you just gotta kick back, put your feet up on the table, and dive into battle against the relentless onslaught of monsters crawling out from every crevice. Definitely a must-try, especially if you're looking for some epic gaming sessions with your siblings!

Next, we have the game that caused a lot of controversy – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. And, for some reason, it’s the only game on this list chosen by a woman – Zoey. Here’s how she explains it:

Don’t get me wrong – this is a game that has a lot of problems. But – when it comes to the pure shooting element – you can’t go wrong with some Call of Duty fun with your brothers. We are all about the idea of themes in games, and the theme of war in this is just spectacular, especially if you have played the Call of Duty games since you were six years old! With so many stories, hours of playtime, and challenges, you can’t look bad on this game, only because it’s a reheated dish. We loved it then, and we love it now! Also – it’s the same gameplay essentially as the Warzone, so you can just play that if you don’t like some CoD in this place!

It’s a real challenge to play this game, and you will surely have a lot of fun in the co-op campaign or the famous multiplayer mode. In both cases – the game will take care of you and your needs in the best way possible. Playing with a sibling will add another layer of competition, and after getting bored, as Zoey suggested, you can go for the Battle Royale experience in Warzone. And Warzone, my friends, seems like a great title, as most people say. So – definitely give it a shot if you’re a fan!

Another great game to play around with siblings, at least according to Phil, is Destiny 2. As he points out – it’s a giant game with not only a great plot but even greater shooting! Man, we have played a ton of it since the release, and there are new add-ons coming out every now and then, it’s insane! Totally worth the 140 GB of download.

In Destiny 2, you are one of the Guardians on the epic journey to save the world from “the bad people.” A whole race, subsumed into one being, is trying to attack what is essentially a Jesus-like figure. Will they manage to do it? Or will you stop them?

You have three initial classes to choose from, each one with a different way of playing (although – if you get a better gun, you will have a better time! The game provides full co-op support and dozens of hours of great fun in PvP or PvE scenarios. So, if you’re a fan of space exploration, you should definitely give this one a chance, as it will prove to be worthwhile! And the first five levels are totally free, so let’s go for some space exploration!
