Ubisoft has created some of the greatest video game series in the gaming industry. Although criticized for milking their most renowned IPs to infinity, many of their games are widely recognized as classics. Their portfolio is quite diverse, especially the further back it goes. I adore Ubisoft for the unique storytelling aspect of their games and great soundtracks.
At RoyalCDKeys, we’ve tried not to include repeat games of the same series but choose the absolute best from the particular franchise. With this in mind, our list compiles the publisher’s best games to show Ubisoft’s talent for giving gamers an outstanding playing experience. And what’s more, all these games are available on RoyalCDKeys for competitive prices!
Valiant Hearts: The Great War
- Release Date: June 25, 2014
- Developer: Ubisoft Montpeller
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3/4, Xbox 360/One, Nintendo Switch, iPhone/iPad
- Metascore: 79
Available on almost every platform, Valiant Hearts is an outstanding artistic experience showing a broken love in a world torn apart by war. As I’ve stated in the introduction, Ubisoft is known for the striking narrative aspect of its games, and Valiant Hearts is a prime example. If you’re looking for an emotional and touching storyline blended with hand-drawn graphics, look no further – you're up for a fantastic experience.
The plot tells the story of four people whose fates intertwine in the trenches of the Western Front. Here we have a French farmer forced to serve in the army, an American volunteer seeking private revenge, a Belgian nurse trying to find her missing father, and a German infantryman separated from his family. The factor that unites all these characters is a compassionate dog, which has a unique gift of directing the events in people's lives to the right track. The story takes place from 1914 to 1918, in different chronological periods.
Valiant Hearts combines arcade elements and various puzzles where you have to strain your gray cells. Exploratory elements have also been implemented. Moreover, you can often count on the company of the aforementioned four-legged friend, which provides you with assistance. There’s definitely a lack of similar titles in the industry that combines original gameplay with a meaningful message that leaves you dismayed after finishing your playthrough. Well done, Ubisoft.

Assassin’s Creed 2
- Release Date: March 9, 2010 (PC)
- Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
- Metascore: 86
Assassin’s Creed series is the most sold franchise in Ubisoft’s portfolio. Although the first Assassin’s Creed started it all, it’s the second installment that stole the hearts of many players. However, the game shows its age, and some new and innovative elements from 2009 might not be so today.
Despite its mechanical limitations, the Ezio trilogy still represents one of the best storytelling in gaming history. Assassin’s Creed 2 is the first part of Ezio’s story but is considered the most quality one. The game starts as a typical vengeance story, but it gets quickly overshadowed by the multilayered conflict between Templars and Assassins. You’ll follow the life of a young, reckless boy Ezio Auditore and witness his change from an impatient teenager to a mature, master assassin. The game also takes place in Rennaisance Italy, so you'll stumble upon many historical figures like Leonardo da Vinci.
Gameplay-wise, Assassin’s Creed 2 features parkour, stealth, and a spectacular combat system that is still a pleasure to watch. The faithfully recreated cities like Florence or Venice are also a sight to behold. You can still go on a virtual tour and directly read about the most iconic monuments in-game. Assassin’s Creed 2 is a long journey, but you’ll enjoy every step of the way.

Almost 20 years ago, the first Splinter Cell redefined the stealth genre, and some say it even dethroned Metal Gear Solid in this regard. For quite a few installments, Splinter Cell was the unquestionable champion of the genre. It's also one of the highest-ranked games Ubisoft ever released, which raised a solid foundation for the later installments of the series. Not to mention the gripping storyline that the late Tom Clancy wrote.
Unlike many of the previous games in Tom Clancy's series, Splinter Cell is centered around a single character. You’ll walk in the shoes of a secret agent Sam Fisher, a member of a top-secret agency called Third Echelon, part of the National Security Agency. There are fourteen different missions to complete, usually involving eliminating perilous enemies, stealing top-secret documents, or sabotaging secret installations.
The key to the game’s success is that every element of your equipment has to be utilized if you want to complete the entire campaign. You’re a specifically trained operative who has to think like one. Even with all the weapons and gadgets, your mind is your best weapon if you want to succeed. Many missions don’t allow any victims, so you’ll have to figure out how to sneak past armed enemies who won't hesitate to kill you on sight. Few games have successfully immersed the player into such a well-designed simulation and maintained this feeling throughout the entire experience.

Far Cry 3
- Release Date: December 4, 2012
- Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3/4, Xbox 360, One
- Metascore: 88
The Far Cry games have been around us for almost twenty years, starting in 2004. First Far Cry was an open-world game taking place on a beautiful, tropical island where you had to survive against hostile mercenaries trying to end your life by all means necessary. However, the third Far Cry game is widely considered the best in the series.
You’ll be walling in the shoes of Jason Brody, whose vacation was brutally interrupted. As a result of an ill-fated parachute jump, he lands on an island overrun by psychopathic pirates. To make matters worse, a group of his friends remains in captivity, and evil and mentally unstable killers are swarming around. Jason will have to quickly learn how to kill to save his loved ones and get out of this cursed place.
It’s probably the most influential title that Ubisoft released, affecting many open-world games later. Things like revealing key map points by scaling a lofty structure, taking out enemy outposts, and hunting animals for equipment upgrades were first introduced in Far Cry 3. So, if you’ve seen these elements in Red Dead Redemption 2 or Horizon: Zero Dawn, you already know where they originated. Far Cry 3 isn’t only the best game in the series; it’s one of the finest titles released in at least a decade.

In 2014, Watch Dogs was hyped as an incredibly ambitious open-world action game with a hacker hero who defied every limit. The E3 presentation was a visual feast with outstanding level of detail that was supposed to show the potential of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, those promises fell short upon release and showed a massive graphical downgrade. Luckily, you can easily achieve the E3 level of detail thanks to mods, and when it comes to story and gameplay, I believe the first part is the best out of the three.
Watch Dogs offers a lengthy story with many twists and turns, where Aiden Pierce’s family tragedy intertwines with a vast array of sinister forces. Speaking of Aiden, he’s an ex-criminal anti-hero – an expert at hacking into electronic systems. Thanks to this, he can cause a car crash by manipulating traffic lights or hacking into the phone of a passing person. Pearce's talents allow him to control almost every element of the modern world around him.
Its climate and mature story distinguish first Watch Dogs from Watch Dogs 2. We met Aiden as an experienced individual whose motives and personality correlate perfectly with the events presented in the game. Thus, if you’re long past your teenage days and want to experience something more real and mature, first Watch Dogs is the way to go.

Are you looking for a great game to play during a party? Rayman Legends takes the crown in this regard as it’s the most fun platforming title Ubisoft has ever released. Rayman Legends is more than just a sequel to Rayman Origins: it contains all levels from its predecessor, adding completely new ones.
In Rayman Legends, once again, you're going to traverse levels to save the world. This time, the developers have prepared a mix of different legendary lands – from ancient Greece to medieval castles. Our limbless hero, as usual, receives help from his faithful companions - including a friendly creature named Globox.
Rayman Legends largely resembles the previous installment in the series, Rayman Origins. It's still a seemingly simple yet quite challenging arcade platformer with a co-op mode for four people. The level design and soundtrack are top-notch, and it's worth playing for music levels alone. This game will bring you back to the good old days of side-scrolling gameplay, where rules are simple and enemies easy to beat.
Rayman Legends Ubisoft Connect Key is available on RoyalCDKeys.
- An outstanding sequel to Rayman Origins.
- Over 120 levels, including 40 remastered levels from Rayman Origins.
- Awesome soundtrack.
- Four-player co-op.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
- Release Date: December 2, 2003
- Developer: Ubisoft
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 2/3
- Metascore: 89
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is one of Ubisoft's most original games ever released. Based on Jordan Mechner’s work, they’ve created an entirely new IP, with the rights to use the original name. The first game of Ubisoft’s series is a perfectly balanced title. It retains the old platforming style of the 90s while providing a cinematic experience with extremely polished cutscenes and excellent camera work.
The next installment of the Prince of Persia series is set in a fictional Middle Eastern country from the heyday of the Middle Ages. Our Prince returns from a tiring military campaign and stays in hospitality with a friendly ruler. In the palace, he meets a treacherous vizier and, under his influence, unleashes the legendary Sands of Time from the hourglass, posing a great threat to the world.
This game laid a foundation for the first AC game, and you’ll notice it instantly during your playthrough. The creativity of the level design, fluent combat system, amazing story, and the time travel aspect made this game an instant classic. And guess what, while other games show their age by replaying them years later, PoP: Sands of Time is timeless in terms of gameplay and a must-play for every fan of action-driven, platforming action.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Ubisoft Connect Key is available on RoyalCDKeys.
- An outstanding debut of the first game in the series.
- Timeless gameplay and fluid animations that feel fresh even today.
- Ability to rewind time.
- Fairy-tale atmosphere.
Rainbow Six: Siege
- Release Date: December 1, 2015
- Developer: Ubisoft
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia
- Metascore: 79
Tactical shooters are like fine wine. They get considerably better with age, and you start appreciating them even more. After a rough start, Rainbow Six: Siege is one of the most popular shooters overall, with an ever-growing community. With a roster of different operators and new content added regularly, it’s hard to imagine they will lower the pace anytime soon.
The game features plenty of game modes where cooperation is key to success. Without constant communication and careful planning, your team won't accomplish much in a clash with a more organized squad. The gameplay is fast, exciting, and tactical, mainly through the destructible environment. The battlefield changes dynamically during a skirmish, often forcing an immediate change of plans.
There’s a lot to be written about Rainbow Six: Siege, but the game changes so frequently that it will become outdated pretty soon. It’s mainly due to the active community giving feedback all the time. And apparently, Ubisoft takes players’ opinions seriously, often fixing or adding things they pointed out. Siege is a breath of fresh air compared to the series’ previous game, and its ability to maintain momentum over the years has been impressive.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege EU Ubisoft Connect Key is available on RoyalCDKeys.
- Probably the best tactical shooter on the market.
- Plenty of game modes and different professions to choose from.
- Destructible environment.
- Strong emphasis on team play rather than a solo performance.

We’ve covered some great games released by Ubisoft throughout the years. As we mentioned in the beginning, we didn’t want to cover different installments of the same franchise. However, some of them are also worth recommending. Thus we decided to mention them in our honorable list.
