Killing sprees! Aces, hat-tricks, fatalities, absolute strategic victories, complete ownage of noobs and leets alike! To compete against a living, breathing enemy. To see them struggle and lose, only for them to get revenge kills on you in the next round. This is the epitome of PvP.
For some, it’s about the challenge, about comparing skill and mettle. For others, it might be just to prove their worth. Another group maybe just wants to vent out on player enemies.
Whatever the reason… you’ve come here to read about the best PvP games, and they will be given. There is no pay-to-win BS, just to be clear. The games were divided into categories and chosen by their popularity, activity, overall ratings, and my biased opinion. Let's get to it.
For some, an FPS multiplayer game is the epitome of PvP, with skill and awareness of your surroundings reigning supreme. This is where noobs are sifted from pros. This is where beautiful phrases like “#$^?@$ CAMPER” and “THOSE !>$^%#$ LAGS, I CAN’T BELIEVE IT” came to be. Welcome to the cornerstone of competitive gaming.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
No way I would exclude famous CS from this list. Based on what was a mod for Half-Life, the first Counter-Strike codified the future of the whole genre and PC gaming.
It had everything it needed. Maps allowing for tactical variety, with place for some shenanigans; bombastic game modes, that somehow never get boring; skill-based gunplay as last, but not least of its elements. Newer versions only improved upon the core game, cementing Counter-Strike as the competitive, teamwork-oriented FPS e-sport, which is still wildly popular.
In fact, even though it was released in 2012, according to Steam’s data, it’s still the most played out of all Steam games, with an average of 820,000 players daily. You won’t be struggling to find a match, that’s for sure. It’s also free to play, with all game modes available. No excuses now!
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
“What if Counter-Strike and League of Legends had a baby… and gave that baby breaching charges.” The premise of Siege is simple: two teams of six operatives, an objective to defend/take, and a place for defenders to fortify in.
While it had a rocky start, Rainbow Six: Siege got its act together, thanks in no small part to constant updates it still receives to this day. New operatives get introduced, new maps are added to blow them up, and new events are made to mix it all up.
So why is it on the list? TACTICS. With each operative having different equipment, some of which being really innovative, or just robust, you get many options of setting the place up, like it’s Home Alone.
Or you just blow it up and breach through to get that hostage, who will inevitably get killed by Fuze. Gotta love those cluster grenades. This is a title that basically forces you to communicate with your teammates to coordinate your assault/defense. It makes for tight teamwork, but is also amazing for any kind of Twitch events to watch.

Some of you might say: “Wait, this is the best PvP games list, why is this forgotten crap here?” and that’s precisely why I’m putting Titanfall 2 here. This game, which is criminally underrated, deserves more spotlight. Also, it’s an innovative piece of development.
This is the title, where skill with movement is key to your success, alongside your ability to pop some domes. This is the title, where giant, stompy mechs are kings until someone jumps on their backs. This little shooter made such a breakthrough in FPS mechanics that the games that followed, like Call of Duty, or Halo, tried to basically copy-paste jetpacks, wall-running, and sliding because it was that good.
It created fast-paced, adrenaline-inducing PvP battles that lend players to quick thinking, awareness of surroundings and, obviously, the ability to 360-no-scope some fool. Go and try it. Make people remember something great that didn’t have a chance to shine because EA sandwiched its launch between behemoths that are Battlefield and Call of Duty.
If you want to buy Titanfall 2 CD key, you can do so at our site.
Let’s shift the gear a little. While many survival games are also shooters, they shake the formula a little by adding food and water dependency, resource gathering, and solid crafting to the mix. This makes for survival of the fittest environment, where your camp is just as important as your weapon.
It’s simple here. You spawn naked, start collecting stuff, make guns, shelter and armor so that you’re naked no longer. While it sounds fairly basic, other people make it problematic at best and turn it into a total war at worst.
It’s a good idea to find some friends, or clan because fighting in rust turns ugly really quick. You’ll either raid, bomb, pillage, kill, steal and be a menace to your neighbors, or you will suffer the very same yourself.
With a neat crafting and building system, intense combat and very colorful community, Rust is definitely up there as one of the best PvP survivals. All because it revels in its simplicity, stripping down its mechanics, and player, to the very basics.
What started as a mod for ARMA 2 became its own thing of beauty. Based on ARMA 3 engine, DayZ simulates many bodily functions of our character in loving detail. This feature is quintessential to the survival atmosphere of a zombie apocalypse, as resources are scarce, and every gunshot wound, a broken bone, or even simple hunger could prove fatal.
This is exacerbated by other players, hunting for supplies. And what is a better source of stuff than a lonely wanderer, who surely has some loot on them…
So come on in, build a base, hide in the woods, hunt for others, or join your efforts to survive literal hordes of zombies, that roam the map. You can get DayZ CD Key on the cheap at our site.
Here’s a recipe for the Battle Royale title. Grab a bunch of people that have to murder each other, yeet them on an island with arms and armor scattered around, and introduce them to the death circle, closing in around them. Add features and mechanics to your heart's content!
What is it with whole genres starting their life as simple mods for other games? Not that I mind, that one famous Player Unknown made modification for Minecraft, based on Hunger Games idea. As with CS, when PUBG: Battlegrounds came to light, it introduced polished, thought-out core mechanics that are downright unshakable.
There’s nothing subtle here. Just refined gameplay, with industrial focus. You drop on an island, find your team, scavenge some gear, and survive as the shrinking field of death wants to get intimate with you. It’s a last person/team standing condition of winning, for the privilege of saying… Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
The phenomenon of Fortnite was hard for me to grasp, to be honest. Yet what looks like a cartoonish free-to-play game hides mechanics that require some insane reflex and precision with your controller. A Battle Royale unlike any other, all because of the rapid build system, that allows you to build cover and high ground in literal split seconds after getting shot.
And to say that it is integral to both gameplay and identity of Fortnite would be an understatement. Yes, GUN GO BOOM is as important as ever, but what sets apart pros from noobs in this game is the ability to build quickly, cleverly, and with surgical precision.
Any given duel might be decided in a matter of seconds, depending on how well you made your walls, ramps, if you added clearance at the (literally) right side. The fast-paced fights are equally hysterical and exciting in close quarters.
Watching videos on YouTube about Fortnite before trying it out for yourself is advised because it can be downright epileptic.
If you’re looking for customization options in the form of Fortnite CD Keys, our site, RoyalCDKeys, has them available for buying.
Respawn Entertainment’s second gem truly perfected high-mobility, octane-fuelled shooter gameplay and threw it into a Battle Royale. After you form your squad of two, or three, you get out there and use everything you’ve got to fight through the other sixty players in any given match.
You’ve got parkour. You’ve got diverse skills of twenty characters — some of which are based on Titanfall. There are guns that go brrrrrr through your ammo and guns that go thunk-thunk-thunk through the enemies. And when the circle shrinks, all hell is let loose, as you and your companions powerslide, jump, wall-run, and ult your way to the top.
It’s intense, it’s a joy, and it’s worth every second.
Our site — RoyalCDKeys — has customization pack CD keys that broaden your options for Apex: Legends.
Welcome to yet another cornerstone of modern e-sports! What started as a custom map for Warcraft III became a genre-defining phenomenon of amazing proportions. MOBA, or Mass Online Battle Arena, has been with us for some time. The goal is often to push through the map, divided symmetrically between two teams. It’s a tug of war with heroes, involving towers, waves of cannon fodder and, ultimately, destruction of a core in the enemy’s base.
League of Legends
If you got here because you’ve watched Arcane, here’s advice from a veteran LoL player: 10/10. Don’t play it.
You see… League of Legends has that perfect balance between not-too-steep learning curve and complex mechanics. It’s straightforward to learn yet provides depth for those creative enough to use all the tools provided or determined enough to just git gud.
It’s a game that at higher levels of skill lends itself to thought-out strategy and plans. Here your map awareness has to be at its peak. This is where your reflex will be tested, as you avoid all the flying skillshots with your character.
Also, there are few such satisfying moments as winning an intense, late-game teamfight under the Baron, getting that objective, and finally winning a 40-minute game. Sounds awesome, right? So what’s the problem?
Thing is… community is infamously problematic. Believe me, when I say, that there’s no other playerbase as childish, unreasonable, and counterproductive to team efforts as the one that enjoys League of Legends. Myself included at times. If you want to try it out, find yourself a team of five friends and mute all-chat. Or steel yourself and also mute all-chat.
There’s Hope and Its Name Is E-sport
All that aside, everything about community goes out the window when it’s about watching professionals compete. League of Legends Worlds is a nerve-wracking, intense showcase of what people are capable of when they dedicate their whole life to one thing.
Again, 10/10. Don’t play it.
10/10. Don’t play it.
Yeah, MOBAs are like that. There’s not that much difference between core mechanics of DOTA 2 and LoL. The devil’s in the details, especially if you ever played other MOBA games. Minions? Enemies can kill them off, denying you gold. Better items? Have fun searching for them in base, because yes, there are multiple shops on the map.
It has layers and layers of mechanics put on top of each other. Difficulty Curve — the Game is what DOTA 2 is. It’s not an easy title to get into, and once again… it’s because of community. To call interacting with them “discouraging” is a mild description. It’s their weird, elitist, unhelpful behavior that really kills new player vibes.
Still… it’s a spectacular experience if you break through the learning curve and learn all the fiddly details. What was said for League of Legends, can also be said for DOTA 2, with its epic fights, and a legacy that goes two decades back! Even the additional layers of mechanics add tension and excitement to the experience, especially if you’re watching the International championship, where the skill ceiling is smashed to pieces.
And if that’s not your thing? 10/10. Don’t play it.
Unit production, resource management, infrastructure to build and enemy to bamboozle. That’s the strategy!
Age of Empires 2
Old and still relevant. Some of you might wonder what this title from way back in 1999 is. It is another genre-defining game that’s still good because, at its core, it got everything right. Even balance, imagine that!
Here is a game where your playstyle doesn’t matter because with enough effort, you can make it work. Prefer micromanaging units to economy? Minimal money, maximal effects. Infrastructure is more your style? Go ahead, and throw wave after wave of soldiers at your enemy while his income comes crashing down. Whether it’s early spam or rushing higher technology, any strategy is viable.
And if you go into PvP, prepare to be rolled up and SMOKED because those people are hardcore. Want PvP strategy? This is it.
Keep in mind that at RoyalCDKeys, we have Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition CD Key, available for you at discount prices.
This is what you get when you put the above-mentioned Age of Empires into full sci-fi mode, and it really shows. Starcraft straight-up copies some aspects of AoE and takes them for a personal spin. While mechanics fully allow you to embrace macro/micro focus in this video game, there is a bigger pressure on micro. Thus, whatever happens, you need to somewhat control your army. Either that or you lose it and the game along with it.
The other important factor is asymmetrical warfare. In AoE, at least at the start, all the factions are similar, mechanically-speaking. Here, there’s no such thing. Every faction and unit is unique, as is its use in battle. Best part? It’s balanced. It is a wonder to behold three wildly different factions, fight on even ground like that.
It had to be said, though, that this title, at higher levels, requires some spicy mouse and keyword operation. 200 APMs (Actions Per Minute) are a norm, so you better start mashing to climb that ladder.
Be sure to check out our offer at RoyalCDKeys for a Starcraft Remastered CD key.
Heroes of Might & Magic 3
This is why I haven’t included “real-time” in this category’s description. Heroes of Might & Magic 3 is… it’s magical. It’s a wonderful, complete turn-based strategy, with knit-tight gameplay and no issues, bugs, or shortcomings.
And for some unfathomable reasons, it is still the #1 game to play among the Slavic community when you have friends over. Yup. It’s hot seat PvP. Didn’t expect that, did you? Whichever town you choose, they all have some shenanigans for you to mess with your friends. It's definitely a title for hanging out with pals, especially if you want to cheese them with some long forgotten or newly discovered tactic.
If you don’t have it yet, grab Heroes 3 Complete Edition CD key, which you can get cheap on our site — RoyalCDKeys. Avoid “remastered” version as it has none of the expansions.
Because these either don’t snugly fit into other categories, or are Team Fortress 2. Anywho, last, but certainly not least:
Hot. Seat. MAYHEM!!! Worms W.M.D. is a return to the roots of the series, when it was 2D, turn-based… arcade… PvP… thing. Look, it’s a skill-based thingy that requires attention to flammable barrels, mines and wind — which affects the path of projectiles. You’ve got bazookas, grenades, HOLY Hand Grenades, napalm strikes, tanks, bungee ropes, and a whole mess of other weapons, utilities and vehicles.
Whether online or via hot-seat, this is the game to play if you want to have some mindless joy. Or if you want to bully your friends by baseball-batting their worms from the edge of the map, and see how far they go. Either way, I can’t recommend it enough, and I can’t recommend enough our site — RoyalCDKeys — if you want to get a hold of your own Worms W.M.D. CD key.
You know why there’s no FIFA here? While a great title to play as a whole team, FIFA doesn’t give you that singular football player experience. Because compared to Rocket League, in EA's flagship title, there’s no real handling of the ball. You push a button and simulation does most of the work for you.
Meanwhile, in Rocket League, you have to do everything yourself. With rocket-powered cars.
It’s so simple. All you have is: a fast, wheeled car; rocket-assisted jumps and boosts; walls and ceiling… and yet it has so much potential. Players all over the world find new ways to handle the ball on a constant basis. From wall passes to literally flying upside down, anything you think of could work.
Get Rocket League if you want to play some video football, with that personal touch in each goal.
Team Fortress 2
Where to even begin with this thing? Hello! This is Team Fortress 2, a game that receives barely any official support and still refuses to die! Even more so, it actually grows. Let's see why…
The community is quirky and thoroughly amazing. It creates content, helps new players, hosts events, adds mods, many of which are integrated into the game proper by a small, but dedicated developers team. They even made goddamn hats their currency.
Gameplay. Nine neurotic characters create distinct classes that have divergent yet complementary gameplay. Furthermore, each class can become something entirely different, depending on what you chose from their many, many, many items.
It’s amusing in more ways than just engaging. Each character is hilariously sociopathic, showing it through their unique reactions to different situations. You don’t shoot with some nameless grunt bloke. You can control a “black, scottish cyclops,” or an engineer who helps solve problems. But not problems like “what is the concept of beauty” because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy.
Fourth and final? It grows! Not only on Steam, but on you the more you play it, so go ahead and try it out!
