The game takes place on Jadame, a continent threatened by the Hive, a dangerous faction of insectoid creatures led by a demonic ruler. Former enemies must overcome their differences and unite against a threat capable of destroying the entire continent.

Begin your adventure with a single town and a small army. Explore the surrounding map to discover resources, treasure, magical artefacts, creature dwellings and strategically important locations.

Every turn requires careful planning. Your heroes have limited movement points, so you must decide whether to collect valuable resources, attack a guarded landmark, reinforce a vulnerable city or prepare for an approaching enemy.

As your kingdom expands, you can:

Command Six Distinct Factions

Choose from six factions, each offering its own heroes, creatures, abilities and tactical possibilities.

Lead the heavily armoured warriors of the Temple, command the undead forces of the Necropolis or unleash the powerful dragons and underground creatures of the Dungeon. Other factions introduce elemental spirits, insectoid monsters and additional units designed around unique strategic mechanics.

Each faction supports different playstyles. You may build a durable army capable of surviving prolonged battles, focus on powerful magic, overwhelm enemies with numbers or use specialised abilities to control the battlefield.

Faction-specific laws also allow you to customise your kingdom and unlock bonuses that complement your preferred strategy.

Recruit Heroes and Build Powerful Armies

Heroes are at the centre of every successful kingdom. Recruit commanders to lead your armies, explore the world and defend your territory.

As heroes gain experience, they unlock new skills and improve their ability to command units, cast spells, gather resources or move across the map. Each hero can influence both the army they lead and the wider economy of your empire.

With more than one hundred heroes offering different starting armies, skills and spells, you can experiment with a wide variety of tactical combinations.

Recruit and upgrade creatures such as knights, griffins, vampires, liches, hydras, phoenixes, minotaurs, skeletons and dragons. Combine units from different factions, discover powerful synergies and create an army suited to your strategy.

Master Tactical Turn-Based Battles

Combat takes place on a hexagonal battlefield where positioning, initiative and unit abilities can completely change the outcome of a battle.

Every creature has unique strengths and weaknesses. Some units can charge across the battlefield, teleport allies, summon reinforcements, drain life from enemies or prevent opposing spellcasters from using their abilities.

Heroes can support their armies with spells from multiple schools of magic. Use destructive magic to eliminate enemy units, strengthen your troops, weaken dangerous opponents or restore fallen allies.

The Focus Point system rewards active combat. By dealing and receiving damage, units generate Focus Points that can be used to activate powerful special abilities. Deciding when and how to spend these points adds another strategic layer to every encounter.

Narrative Campaign
