Which Windows 10 Is Best For Gaming | Choose Your Version!

Gaming is on fire! The video game industry is growing and growing, and it doesn't look like it will stop. The new generation of consoles, especially PC games, is becoming more specialized.

Having a gaming PC is a good way to enjoy the best PC games on the market to their fullest potential. However, hardware isn’t everything. As the software can make a difference, gamers ask: Which Windows 10 is Best for Gaming?

It depends on many factors. For instance, the operating system, the graphics capabilities, the processor, and even the gaming features. Also, if you have a complete gaming setup according to your machine, it’s more likely that the gaming experience will be better.

But do not worry. We’ll help you make a decision and acquire the one you require. Here, at RoyalCDKeys, we have the three main Windows 10 versions: Home, Pro, and Enterprise at an incredible price

Now, let’s straighten out the topic that concerns us in this opportunity. Which Windows platform is better for playing games? Let’s find out!

But Before Getting Into the Subject …

You must know that the OS won’t help you run your games if you don’t have all the hardware you need. At the same time, if you don’t set up your gaming PC, the Windows version does not matter at all. Whatever programs you install will be of little use.

On the other hand, hardware specs with OS play a key role in gaming. You won’t play a game efficiently if you don’t use the right hardware specifications.

We recommend you do not install your first game until you keep special attention to the following hardware requirements:

  • GPU. The GPU market is dominated by AMD and NVIDIA.
  • Processor. A dual-core processor for gaming works with both new and older games.
  • Video Card. Radeon RX and GeForce RTX are great choices.
  • RAM. The more RAM, the more is the power of your computer.
  • Hard Drives. A hybrid storage device that boasts SSD speeds and HDD’s capacity.
  • Ethernet adapters. It’s not fundamental, but it can be very useful.
  • Sound Cards. ASUS and Sound Blaster are good choices.
  • USB ports. The more you have, the better.

Upon completing your gaming setup, it’s time to decide if you want a Windows 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit mode. If you buy a new PC strictly for gaming, we recommend you go for the 64-bit version for greater compatibility and performance.

If you’re not sure which to choose, hit the start menu on your computer. Search for the system complement and select it. If your computer is powered by an x86 CPU, you need 32-bit Windows. On the other hand, if you have an x64-based CPU, you can use the 64-bit version of Windows 10.

Best Features of Windows 10 for Gaming

Windows 10 brings you the option to sync your whole Windows environment on your PC. This is one of the best features for gaming that Windows 10 provides.

Xbox App

Windows 10 operating system allows you to manage your Xbox Live account directly from the interface of your PC on the local network. If you have an Xbox One, you can stream the games to every PC connected to the same internal network.

The Gaming Bar

This is a tool in Windows 10 Home that helps you handle gaming features. This way, you can broadcast video/audio and record/screenshots. The Gaming Bar also helps you check the performance of your hardware and software. This tool is configurable, allowing you to experiment with the settings until you discover the best for any compatible game.

Game Mode

This mode improves performance and allows you to stream video from your PC to your mixer without installing any additional software. Although most users agree with the above, there is a huge anti-Game Mode gaming audience. The main reason for this is that some games do not work well in Game Mode; either they’re massively heavy or designed that way.

Windows 10 Home

This version of Windows 10 is the most popular software. According to Microsoft,  you don’t have reasons to buy the latest version of Windows 10 Home to run your favorite games, at least until now. Besides, all new computers are designed for Windows 10.

Windows 10 Home includes gaming-specific features too. You can access your Xbox Live account directly from your PC. It also comes with a game mode that allows you to broadcast and boosts your performance.

We can say that some problems could appear in the eco-system, for example, some force system updates, occasional crashes, and it also slows down over the life of a PC.

In addition to elements such as Cortana, and Windows Mixed Reality; Windows 10 Home includes gaming-specific features too.

With Windows 10, you can access your Xbox Live accounts directly from your PC. It also comes with Game Mode, which we have mentioned earlier.

The Home edition and Pro edition have nothing different in terms of Game Bar, game mode, and Graphics.

Price

A single license of 64-bit OEM Windows 10 Home costs around $140. The best thing is that you need to buy it just once.

Anyway, we have good news for you. At RoyalCDKeys, you can purchase Windows 10 Home at €2,50. Have a look at Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM KEY and related products to check all the prices we have for you!

Windows 10 Pro

Honestly, there is no difference between these two versions of Windows when it comes to Windows for gaming. Pro versions offer almost the same features as the Home edition.

But the key here is the word “almost.” The latest Windows version brings additional features for power users that Home doesn't offer. These new features are BitLocker, Windows Update, Windows Defender, Secure Boot, and Device Guard. But, again, these extra features are not super relevant for gaming performance.

BitLocker

The latest iteration of BitLocker provides full disk encryption. This way, you can keep your data safe from hackers and malware. BitLocker also allows for the encryption of individual files for more flexibility than the all-or-nothing approach of previous versions. Other software can accomplish similar encryption, but it's not built into the OS.

Remote Desktop

Generally, gamers with a need for Remote Desktop host capability tend to choose Windows Pro due to all the extra features this represents. Remote Desktop features a place in gaming, but you can’t control your PC from another device on your network natively. Also,  it will not improve your gaming experience.

Memory Limits

Another major difference between the Home version and Pro version is Memory limits. Thanks to this, Windows PRO supports more memory and a massive 2TB of RAM. Windows 10 Home just supports 128 GB and doesn’t accept additional RAM.

Windows 10 Pro comes with most of the same base features of Windows 10 Home, such as the battery save, game bar, game mode, and graphics capabilities. However, Windows 10 Pro has a lot more security features, more virtual machine capabilities, and can support higher max RAM.

Automatic Updates

It also includes “Automatic Updates” for Corporate feature and Safe Boot and Detection, providing further protection for business users. This additional functionality is heavily focused on extra security and business. Even for power users.

What’s more, while many people access client Hyper-V, a Windows-only hypervisor used for running virtual machines or operating systems on CPUs that support virtualization, other users select the boot entry that doesn’t include Hyper-V extensions. This way, they experience normal game performance but better CPU usage.

Price

Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit OEM is available for $142.75 on a PC disc. The license you buy is a lifetime.

But at RoyalCDKeys, you can buy Windows 10 Pro at €2,81

Windows 10 Enterprise

Windows 10 Enterprise offers more features than Windows Home and Windows Pro but is mainly focused on business. It makes Windows Enterprise less user-friendly. Also, it is more expensive. However, Windows Enterprise has been designed for businesses, to provide benefits to the enterprise tasks.

Not going further, Windows Enterprise was designed for use in large offices and networks. This version is only available in large quantities. To summarize, you cannot use Windows Enterprise if you desire is to have a gaming PC.

Price

Windows 10 Enterprise does not have any price tag because it is an enterprise solution with a scalable price.

Anyway, you can find the Windows 10 Enterprise CD key at RoyalCDKeys for €3,99.

Windows 10 Enterprise N

Windows 10 Home, Pro, and Enterprise have a special version called “N” or “NK.” This version includes the same functionality as Windows 10 regular versions, except that it does not include certain media-related technologies (Windows Media Player, Camera, Music, TV & Movies) and does the Skype app.

Windows 10 S

Last but not least, this is a special version of Windows 10 optimized for security and performance. To enhance the security, this edition just allows using Microsoft Store applications, including Microsoft Edge.

One great advantage is that from loading apps to booting up, Windows S is noticeably quicker than either Windows 10 Home or Pro running on similar hardware.

In this regard, Windows Sandbox becomes a great tool to reinforce the security of the system. It allows you to create a virtual environment to test high-risk software. This is a useful feature if you want to test apps.

Windows S is not designed for gaming due to its lack of tools, such as Game Bar. Anyway, Windows S is the fastest version of Windows.

Which is the Best Windows Version: Conclusions

As we mentioned in the first part of this article (and it’s our personal opinion) the best Windows 10 version for gaming, and for you, loyal gamer, is Windows 10 Home. Some people maybe will choose Windows Pro for gaming, but it’s unnecessary. The first one is more than enough.

In addition to the above, Microsoft said that Windows 11 will be available as a free upgrade for Windows 10 Home PC, so this choice is more than recommended. It will allow you to use Secure Boot and Trusted Boot to help you prevent malware and corrupted components from the startup process before loading it. Besides, this OS is continuously being tested for bug fixes and other issues.
