So what’s the fuss all about?

Forager takes you to an open world, initially consisting only of a small island. Your task is to explore the surroundings and collect the raw materials necessary to build a furnace and produce the first items. You can focus on breeding animals and growing crops, search for rare items to display in the Museum (to earn valuable rewards), or engage in trading and amassing wealth. Or, if you crave adventure, there are four dungeons in the spirit of old-school installments of The Legend of Zelda with plenty of monsters – including powerful bosses.

It’s an original FPP shooter developed by the Danish studio Ghost Ship Games. Players take on the role of dwarven astronauts working to extract resources from the most dangerous cave systems, where not even the bravest daredevils venture.

The plot of Deep Rock Galactic isn’t complicated. Players take on the role of dwarven astronauts at the service of the titular corporation, specializing in the extraction of minerals from alien planets. A four-person team made up of player-driven characters (or AI) traverses procedurally generated levels in search of these valuable resources. Mining and exploration are based on a well-prepared environment destruction system, reminiscent of Minecraft and allowing for almost unlimited destruction of locations.

The key to success is cooperation, especially when fighting hordes of aliens trying to protect each other. Coming in different varieties, they can make your life difficult in many ways, whether by limiting your visibility with a spider web or spraying poisonous fumes after death. Since you can only replenish ammo at the infrequently dropped supply stations, and the aliens have a habit of appearing in large groups, caution and teamwork are essential to completing missions.
