When the battle starts, both armies rush forward to attack each other, ending when one is left wholly defeated. Other ways of winning are defeating a specific enemy or surviving a certain amount of time. 

The game features 130 units across fourteen factions. You have to unlock these units by finding them in different parts of the world. Most units have unique abilities, such as flight or teleportation. There are twenty maps in total, and twenty-two additional simulation maps.
